Good Templars Programme, 1910

The Templars were one of many temperance organisations in Scotland. The society was founded in New York, USA in 1851 and preached total abstinence for the whole family. They preached equality and unlike most other friendly societies, women and children could join. Women were encouraged to be active participants and to be board members.
