Rechabites Sash, 1900s

Part of a sash of the Independent Order of Rechabites, which was founded in Salford, England in 1835 as part of the wider temperance movement. It was in response to the drinking culture of other friendly societies, a lot of whom met in local pubs and consumed alcohol as a regular part of their society celebrations.
