Kemp's Biscuit Tin

A biscuit tin made by Scribbans-Kemp bakeries, in worn condition. This example, according to collectors' guides, would have been produced in the years between 1946 and 1969. The cover is very decorative, and tins such as these were not thrown out, but kept and re-used in households. Scribbans-Kemp were one of the biggest bakery companies in Britain through much of the twentieth century.

We have a Kemps tin which since my childhood (early 60s) has held a collection of marbles. Tin is still quite decorative though a little faded and grubby. Photo available if required.
