Our Lady Plaque, Loretto, 1942 – 1945

Coatbridge-born Italian Angelo Valente served in the British Army Medical Corps in Italy during the Second World War. While on leave, Angelo visited the Sanctuary of the Holy House of Loreto with his fellow Catholic commanding officer. He brought this souvenir home to Scotland.
