Caledonian Order of United Oddfellows Medal

A medal for the Caledonian Order of United Oddfellows. The Oddfellows were a friendly society, established to support workers and their families if they fell on hard times. Their history went back to the seventeenth century, and they were so called probably because they comprised a mixed group made up of various smaller trades.
