Iron Moulders at Gartsherrie Iron Works, 1904

This team of men and boys would have the job of preparing the sand moulds in which the molten iron from the furnaces was cast. The boys are almost certainly related to some of the men and would do the less-skilled work, such as sifting the sand for impurities after the previous casting.

The man on the far left appears to have his foot on a wooden pattern for a 'pig', an ingot of iron.

Is it possible to get the names of people in the picture. My fathers stepfather SOLOMON EWART was 18 when he worked at the Iron Moulders Gartsherrie in1904. Many thanks.
