Gartsherrie House, photographed by Thomas Annan in 1870.

This paper negative image shows Gartsherrie House, which was acquired by the Bairds in 1834. It was the home of first William and then James Baird. The house was demolished in the inter-war years, a victim of the ironworks' expansion.
