Airdrie Cotton Works, around 1910

A view inside Thomas Goldie and Company's Airdrie mill. You can see empty bobbins on the floor, which would have held the thread that was used to weave cloth.

Along the backyard you can see a drive shaft for powering machinery. The power was delivered by belts. On the wall at top-centre the rectangular box is a gas meter.
