The women featured in this photograph are Scottish and Lithuanian workers at Carfin Brickworks. Seated front right is Adela Kuliszaukeni, who was born in Scotland to Lithuanian parents. Adela later married Juozas Poutienius, a Bellshill miner who was born to a farming family in Russian-ruled Lithuania.
