Cinema Sign, around 1930 – 1950s

Matinee (daytime) shows at the pictures were popular during the mid-twentieth century. Matinee programmes for children were particularly well attended. This hand-painted sign was acquired from the Playhouse Cinema in North Berwick and restored in 2012 with funding from Museums Galleries Scotland.
