Butter Jar, Airdrie

This stoneware jar was made in Glasgow by the Port Dundas Pottery Company for T. McLelland of Airdrie.

The Port Dundas Pottery made a wide variety of stoneware for food preparation and storage but also equipment for the chemical industry and glazed drain and water pipes.
