Continuous Casting Plant and Strip Mill, Ravenscraig Steel Works

This framed diagram shows the layout of equipment in two keys areas of the Ravenscraig Works. The ConCast plant replaced the old system of casting steel ingots and then rolling them into slabs, while the strip mill, the largest in Western Europe took the slabs and turned it into thinner strip steel.
