Hot Water Bottle, 1950s
Hot water bottles have traditionally been used for keeping a person warm in bed, particularly in homes without modern central heating or on cold nights.
They are still used, and are also for applying heat to a specific areas of your body. This hot water bottle is made with a steel casing and comes with a fitted a woollen draw-string bag. It was owned by the Hamilton Family of Bothwell.
