Section of the last tube forged by No.2 Mill, Clydesdale Tube Works, 1991

Until the steel industry was nationalised in 1967 the Clydesdale Works was part of the world's biggest producer of steel tubes, Stewarts & Lloyds.

A pilger mill from No.2 mill which made this tube is preserved at Summerlee Museum in Coatbridge.
