Lea End Farm and Thrashbush Home, Airdrie by Andrew Muir, around 1990

Amateur artist Andrew Muir was born and brought up in Garden Square, Airdrie. Nearby Lea End (or Simpson’s) Farm was over 200 years old when it was demolished in the 1960s. Thrashbush Home was built as New Monkland Poorhouse in 1849 and later became a children's home.
