Plaited Wire Armlet, around 1880-1900

Traditional African armlet (possibly Ugandan) gifted to Airdrie Museum, probably around 1900. Many wealthy industrialists and businessmen travelled the British Empire extensively; acquisitions like this were a symbol of status.
