Sample of Craig's Velvet Blotting Paper

In the 1890s the papermakers Robert Craig and Sons decided to concentrate business at their Caldercruix site on making blotting papers due to the availability of pure, soft water at that location. They also owned Moffat Paper Mills near Airdrie.
