Minton Soup Tureen, 1800s

A soup tureen used at the Birkenshaw Inn, Uddingston, in the days before the railways. It has a white glazed body with blue prints of Chinese design on it, depicting an oriental river scene. A conservator has restored and re-painted a number of cracks and chips, so the effect is very close to when it was new.
