Mediterranean Oil Lamp

A terracotta oil lamp with small looped handle and rounded body. The outline at the upper rim has a graceful design. This lamp was part of a collection of Roman and Cypriot items.

From a box marked Mediterranean pottery. Some items in this box appear to have been part of a collection of Graeco-Phoenician Culture artefacts from Cyprus. See the 1927 Airdrie Museum Guide. Other items in the box appear to be of Roman origin.
