Scotland International Football Shirt, 1939
Worn by Henry (Harry) Pinkerton against the 'Auld Enemy', 2nd December 1939. The game against an England XI at St James' Park, Newcastle, was one of several 'wartime internationals'. It was held to raise funds for the Red Cross and the sides were made of Scottish and English players playing their club football in northern England and Scotland. Harry, from Kilsyth, was 33 and playing for Falkirk at the time.
