Dalzell House War Hospital Memorial Plaque, Motherwell, 1919

Dalzell House, in Motherwell, was put into use as an auxiliary hospital during the First World War. Over 1,000 wounded were treated there. This plaque records the gratitude of the Red Cross to the house's owners, the Hamiltons of Dalzell.
