WPC Fraser and WPC Cook, Coatbridge, 1947

Christina Fraser and Agnes Cook were the first serving female officers in Coatbridge Burgh Police. Until they joined in 1946 women had only been taken on as auxiliaries when extra help was needed, such as wartime.
