Mines Rescue Oxygen Bottle

An oxygen bottle for Mines Rescue breathing apparatus produced by The Mining Engineering Company. The bottle is painted black, and attached to a brass handle and valve, with a dial indicating pressure. Bottles like these were used to supply rescue workers and trapped miners with oxygen during emergencies, and saved many lives.
