Education

From tawses and slates to caps and bags, this collection provides a fascinating insight into school life. In the days when you were punished for being left handed and learned how to count with an abacus. Key objects include a 1950s leather tawse from a school in Newmains and beautiful school copy books with the most perfect handwriting. The collection also features objects relating to further and higher education.
